Request Rowdy for Your Next Event
Would you like Rowdy to participate in your on-campus event? Our office will be taking requests for Rowdy to appear at university, 部门, and student organization events. There is no better way to show Roadrunner spirit than to have our beloved Rowdy interacting with your audience.

Rowdy’s friendly façade is perfect for close encounters with students, where a rallying icon is needed. Rowdy is able to interact with guests, pull silly pranks, dress appropriately for the event (e.g. wearing his 密歇根州立大学丹佛 jersey or t-shirt) and be a comic relief for the guests and program directors.
When Rowdy is at an outdoor or indoor event, a handler is needed because the mascot needs to take frequent breaks to avoid overheating and exhaustion. When necessary, we will also provide Rowdy’s handler.
Rowdy的重要faq
Rowdy has been our beloved mascot since the early ’70s and has served the university with distinction. Rowdy is non-verbal, a bundle of energy and also truly loves 密歇根州立大学丹佛!
Not all event appearance requests are a guarantee.
- Sporting events and games (where Rowdy has room to maneuver)
- 首页coming events or other campus traditions
- Convocation, Fall Fest and other student social events
- Parades (a vehicle would need to be available for Rowdy)
- Major events for individual 部门s and schools
Rowdy’s limitations include small areas, such as banquets or dinners where there is not enough space to maneuver, however if there is a prepared photo booth or alike can make an appearance before or after the main program. Rowdy does not operate well outdoors on hot days since breaks will have to be far too frequent to be worthwhile.
Event requests should be made at least 2 weeks before event date, but the earlier the better!

When 密歇根州立大学丹佛 was founded, the mustang was chosen as its mascot. 然而, since the students had to run between numerous buildings scattered across downtown 丹佛 to get to their classes, they took a vote and decided roadrunner would be a more appropriate and meaningful mascot in 1974.
